OT: If you don't have NetMeetingAs a followup to Mark's post on NetMeeting, I thought it might be worthwhile to let you know how to get it.
First of all, make sure that you don't already have it. Check all of the sub-menus in your Start menu and look for a NetMeeting entry. If it's there, you more than likely have it. If you've never run it before, the first time you run it, you'll have to set up things like your name and so on.
NetMeeting is part of the complete install of Internet Explorer 4 & 5, so if you've installed these during or subsequent to your installation of Win98, or Win2K, you have it. If I remember correctly, Win95 & WinNT install an older version of Internet Explorer and may not include NetMeeting by default.
To get the latest version, Win98 and Win2K users should select Windows Update on the Start menu. This will access the Microsoft Update site which will analyze your system (without sending anything to MS) and come up with a list of things that need to be upgraded. Follow the instructions to select NetMeeting to get the latest version if necessary (might also be a good idea to install any other updates as well). Win95 & WinNT users need to go to the MS site and manually do the download.
Once you've got it installed, the rest is a snap. You don't necessarily need a microphone, speakers, or video camera to participate, as the program has a chat mode. At a minimum, however, I recommend using a microphone and speakers to make it worthwhile (otherwise you might as well use one of the instant messaging programs).
I'll leave it up to Mark to provide his address for connecting.
