RE: The ResultsI guess we'll find out soon enough mooreman.
"...There wasn't much detail pertaining to geology and mineralization, and this is one of SLAM's properties that I haven't worked on in the past, so my understanding is based on brief information in the pr as well as my background. Interesting to note that the main lithologies/rock types are interbedded mafic volcanics and iron formation. These are the same rock types in the Pickle Crow (PKL) Mine (where I have worked) where the volcanics host the veins (with VG), and some iron formation units are mineralized, hosting gold with associated arsenopyrite. Our nr stated that the iron formation was mineralized, hosting sulphides. The Musselwhite Gold Mine (Goldcorp) located north of Pickle Lake is hosted within iron formation, deposits in the Geraldton-Beardmore (Kodiak?) area are also hosted in iron formations. So, again, this is quite favourable.
What I found particularly intriguing is the timing of the release of these assays - the day following a long weekend, probably on one of the slowest trading days/weeks over the summer. As I've said in the past, companies (when possible) like to end their programs on a strong note. Our best Silverjack results were contained in our last batch of holes. By releasing great results, the company generates excitement (investor awareness, speculation, anticipation, sp appreciation-hopefully) which can carry forward in the next stages of the program as well as be quite beneficial when financing.
So why were these results released when there was only one hole left to report? They could've been held back and released with the final hole. Then, had results for hole 3 been less anomalous, investors would still have focussed on the fabulous hole 2 results, ignoring hole 3. All would've been great...
Unless...the company, based on the visuals from the core logging feel confident that hole 3 will provide similar if not better results than hole 2. As I mentioned last week, I was confident that the widths were going to be greater for holes 2 and 3 compared to hole 1. As for the grades...I guess we'll be finding out shortly."
