Overview

North American Gem Inc. (NAG) is a Canadian based junior resourcecompany with a focus on coal production. The majority of the Company’sinterests are located in Kentucky – historically one of the best coalproducing regions in North America. NAG has two fully-permitted mines inKentucky, and is currently seeking other leases in the same area. InJuly 2010, the Kentucky Department of Natural Resources (KDNR) fullyapproved the mining application for Mine #2, which allows for immediateproduction to begin. The Company also has interests in coal, gold,copper, and molybdenum in Canada.

Mr. Desjardins brings more than 20 years of public company experience inthe areas of finance and public company management. He is the Presidentand CEO of Tandem Capital Group Inc., which was active in the investorrelations field during the mid 1990's. Mr. Desjardins was also the pastPresident of Victory Ventures Inc., which began as a mineral explorationcompany, and subsequently became Global Investment.Com Financial Inc..As President and Director of North American Gem Inc. and SolitaireMinerals Corp. Mr. Desjardins has raised over 12 million dollars overthe last 3 years.

Egil Livgard - Director (2006 – Present)
Mr. Livgard has been a director of the company since July, 2006. Mr.Livgard has been a self-employed Consulting Geologist from 1970 topresent. He has been a member in good standing of the Association ofProfessional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia since 1969.He is a director of North America Gem Inc. and Totem Minerals Inc. Heis a former director of Hulldra Silver Inc., Big Valley Inc., Orko GoldCorporation, Tapango Resources Ltd., Tapestry Resources Corp., HarlowVentures Inc., Golden Star Resources Corp. and Uganda Gold Minerals Ltd.He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours Geology) Degree from theUniversity of British Columbia (1960).

Peter Dickie - Director (2009 – Present)
Peter Dickie has been a director of the company since 2009. Mr. Dickiebrings over 20 years of business experience with both public and privatecompanies holding numerous senior management positions. A graduate ofboth the University of British Columbia, and the University of Victoria(B.C.), his background includes 4 years in the Securities industry withJones, Gable & Co. Currently, he sits on the board of a total of sixpublic companies, including Lateegra Gold Corp., and four others in afiscal and management advisory capacity.

Bruce Lock - Director (2003 – Present)
Mr. Lock brings over 20 years of business experience with both publicand private companies holding numerous senior management positions.

Mr. Adam Noel, P.Eng
Mr. Adam Noel is a professional geologist, a mining and environmentalengineer with over 40 years Canadian and International experience inproviding project services to the mining industry. He has managed a widerange of projects in the resource industry and has hands on experiencein geological exploration, mine geology, mine evaluation and operationsas well as project environmental assessment and remediation. Mr. AdamNoel also has extensive knowledge of coal field geology and coal minedesign, earth-moving practices, together with veteran experience inintegrating mining operations with business and regulatory requirements.

Mr. Alan A. Johnson, B.Sc., P.Geol
Mr. Alan Johnson is a coal geologist with 40 years of experience in theindustry. From 1971-1978, Mr. Alan Johnson led the team that discoveredand did the early development work on the Quintette coal property inNortheast British Columbia. “Quintette” became the cornerstone of theNortheast Coal Development that became the largest new coal developmentin British Columbia’s history. Mr. Alan Johnson also managed coalexploration on numerous projects in Northeast B.C., Alberta andNorthwest B.C. from 1978 – 1988.

In 1988 Mr. Johnson took a leave of absence from Gulf when he waselected to the House of Commons as Member of Parliament for CalgaryNorth. In this capacity he also served as Chair of the House of CommonsStanding Committee for Energy Mines and Resources (1991-1993).

From 1999 to 2001 he was President of The Coal Association of Canadaand during that time he founded the Zero Emission Coal Alliance thatbecame ZECA Corporation that he headed as Managing Director & CEOfrom 2001 to 2004.

William J. Grable
Mr. Grable brings 35 years of experience in every aspect of the Coal, Limestone, and Sand mining industries to NAG.

Mr. Grable’s experience will help expedite the permitting process aswell as provide invaluable insight as NAG continues to increase itsmining operations in the State of Kentucky. He is the formerCommissioner of the Department for Surface Mining Reclamation andEnforcement, under Governor Wilkinson of Kentucky. He also served 8years as an advisor on energy to Governor Patton during his appointmentas Executive Director of the Kentucky Coal Council and has advised theU.S. Department of Energy as a member of the Southern States EnergyBoard when attending the Southern Governors’ Association.
