RubyCreek Resources, Inc. (OTCBB: RBYC), an exploration and mining companywith operations in Tanzania, announces that it has attained itsmilestone of delivering the first of several test-mining plants to theMkuvia Gold Project, its 380 sq km property in Tanzania.
Mr.Robert Slavik, CEO and President of Ruby Creek, said, "I am pleased tohave met our goal of setting up the first test mining plant on theMkuvia Gold Project by the end of July, just about a year since newmanagement assumed control of the Company, and less than a year since weannounced our acquisition of the property rights and the joint ventureagreement to develop the Mkuvia. I look forward to keeping our stakeholders current andinformed about the progress of our Mkuvia gold test mining operationsand permitting process in the coming months."
Mr. Slavik alsoannounced the appointment of Mr. Toby Hansen, who is now responsible forthe dual roles of Corporate Communications for Ruby Creek Resources andProcess Engineer for the Company's operating subsidiary, Ruby Creek(Tanzania). Mr. Hansen, an engineer for more than twenty years, joinedRuby Creek at the end of July. Mr. Hansen has been onsite at the Mkuviasince July 31, and will remain there for the month of August.
InJune and July, Ruby Creek Tanzania began the process of hiring localstaff for the first of the Mkuvia Mining Camps. To date, the Company hashired a Geologist, Mining contractor, a Logistics and Camp contractor,the first of two Security Chiefs, a Camp Accountant, a Civil Engineeradvisor for Camp and shop layout and construction, as well as anexternal Security Advisor. Ruby Creek (Tanzania) began shipping Camp Equipment and Test Mining Equipment to the site on July 28.
Mr.Slavik said, "The hiring of these key staff members is anothersignificant milestone, as it puts into place much of the groundworknecessary to advance our activities." It is expected that several typesof test mining processes will be in place and operating in the month ofAugust. The principal purpose of this test phase is to identify theoptimal mining equipment to be used at specific sites for thecommencement of full commercial mining operations.
As part of thecontinued development of the Mkuvia, existing access roads areundergoing improvements: a satellite dish for direct voice and datacommunication is being installed, an on-site laboratory for fastanalysis is being installed, additional security personnel are beinghired, and the first camp construction is expanding to accommodate 50from the present 30.
