At the end of the day MRK has taken a beating, lot's of pressure, but there are buyers who are picking it up at these levels and laughing. If you know the gold market and really know how juniors operate than you should know that these plays can take years and the stock can suck for long time, but suddenly a major shift occurs and the stock runs and everyone tells their buddies did you see that stock, but when it was sitting at a dime and bleeding and wounded no one would touch it. Buy low, sell somewhat higher that is the game played on Bay st, Wall St and every other street along the way. When there is blood on the street you buy and MRK has shown there is gold up there so it may take years before this runs, but it's going to one day!
At a dime it's pocket change to load up and just put it away... I have avg down and really my bet is in 2-3 years it's going to get taken out. 70% of my portfolio is locked into high yield stocks and bonds, so I can afford to take bets on the juniors and sometimes they don't pay off, but the tax loss comes in handy. MRK I believe in only due to the fact that the results showed me there is gold there now it's a waiting game.
