change of heart

change of heartwould it be a rational thing to sell the stock at a loss to buy more of another even riskier stock?

The other has a great chance of taking off in mid september.  This one always has that chance but keeps trading lower and lower.  Frustrating, because had I gone with my gut feeling last week, I'd already be up 5 cents! Damn TMG! I held on for more then 10 years and have actually just bought more little by little over the past 6 months.

What to do....what to do?
