RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: here wingnutAs far as I'm concerned the Sentimental Score isn't worth much.  For fun I follow an over the counter stock that I bought many years ago, TTRIF, that basically the company doesn't exist any more but the shares still trade (at .0003 to .0008 cents per).  The Sentimental Score for that one is 52.  That score is a calculated number based on several indicators that all basically work on the share price history.  If the price has been dropping for a while the score will continue to drop.  That to me doesn't tell me much.  It just confirms that the price has been dropping for a while.  Also, it is not a proper comparison to be saying there is a 46% differential in the RIM and YLO scores.  The score is out of 100.  RIM is 15 points better than YLO.  Why not say RIM's score is more than double that of YLO?  That kind of comparison is basically meaningless.  Both are in the range of bearish sentiment.  Nothing more, nothing less.

What's important to me is whether or not I think the company has a future.  I think YLO does.  It will take time but they are transforming themselves into an internet based operation.  The hard copy Yellow Pages will be around for a long while yet.  There are still a lot of people who use them.  I for one tend to go to it first because it is simpler to use for local businesses and I don't always have my computer on while at home.  When I do use the internet (Google) to search it often pulls up a Yellowpages listing within the first page or two of search results so again there is value to an advertiser because I often end up on the online directory through Google.

Lastly, on a contrarian basis now is the time to be looking at a company like Yellow Pages when everyone else seems to think it is a dinosaur.   Sure it's a gamble but there is no money to be made in sure bets.  No guts no glory.

Cheers.
