Hork

Think you have the wrong person, none of my comments would be negative just like none of your comments would be positive! ;-)

With regards to your question, no SHH cannot claim that the V4 would not cause hearing loss.  The reason for this is that hearing loss is caused by prolonged exposure (i.e. years) to high levels of sound.  As the V4 was only invented less than a year ago they wouldn't have the timeframe/data to categorically say their earphone don't cause hearing loss.

What they can say is that the V4 earphone have an accoustic seal due to their custom fit which blocks out external noise which normal earbuds let in which therefore means the user can get the same level of experience as from normal earbuds but with the volume 30% lower.  I think there are also studies to show that if the volume is 30% lower than the 'norm' that would bring the sound level down to a range which shouldn't cause hearing loss.  Of course the user could still blast the the sound up to levels which would cause damage.

From what I understand, there is a market opportunity due to the Apple Law suit which was cited in an earlier posting.  Due to this law suit Apple, RIM etc are now quite worried that users of mp3s and smart phones etc could sue them for hearing loss and as a result these manufacturers are now looking for ways to lower the maximum sound levels available on their equipment while maintaining the sound quality and experience.

In my opinion (and I know Nick is pursuing this opportunity) the V4 is potentially a solution to this problem.  If you listen to the recording of the AGM, ST Microelectronics rep attended and said a work order and licensing agreement would be signed shortly.  It is my understanding that these work orderrs etc are linked to the above opportunity which I have mentioned.

Per Management, the above agreements with ST Microelectronics have been signed but at ST Microelectronics request haven't been announced as yet.

If the V4 does end up being the solution for Apple and RIM etc, I think everyone knows Sonomax's share price is undervalued and therefore in my opinion Sonomax is a BUY.
