Candelaria Mining Corp. is a Canadian gold-copper exploration company with a portfolio of two highly prospective projects in Mexico. The Company owns 100% of the Caballo Blanco and the Pinos Gold Projects. The Caballo Blanco license area is located on the eastern coast of Mexico in the state of Veracruz, 65 kilometers northwest of the city of Veracruz. The most advanced project in the license area is La Paila, which is conventional open pit/heap leach mining operation targeting approximately 100,000 ounces of gold production annually. The Pinos mining property and historical mining district is located in the municipality of Pinos, Zacatecas state in north-central Mexico near the town of Pinos, Zacatecas. The property lies 405 air-kilometers northwest of Mexico City and is 67 km west-northwest of the city of San Luis Potosi, 113 km east-southeast of the city of Zacatecas, and 85 km northeast of the city of Aguascalientes.

RE: RE: check out nevsungood deposit but be careful re the Eriterian govt. They crippled Nevsun's Bisha project in 2004 for awhile probably wanting a bigger piece of the pie and the stock got crushed. You never know if they will come back for more. Hopefully Tanzania is safer turf.

Nevsun shares soared from C
.55 to C$3.94 in the 12 months to February 2003 on the back of the initial, high-grade borehole results from Bisha. They subsequently peaked at a record $9 during 2004.


But the shares plummeted 50% in a single day’s trading on September 3, 2004 when the Eritrean government forced Nevsun and two other gold exploration companies to shut down operations but provided no reasons.


The uncertainty over what was actually going on lasted for months. Nevsun finally signed a mining agreement over Bisha with the Eritrean government in December 2007.
