Book Value.Book Value reflects the true valuation of a company.
It adjusts for gains/losses, dilution of more shares etc
Stock Price is what an Investor perceives the stock is worth.
In the last three years, the B/V of MFC fell $1.41 ($16.30 to $14.89).
The S/P fell from over $40.00 to $12.33 during the same period.
For a 11% dropped in B/V over 3 yrs, the S/P fell over 70%.
What a perception !!!
