China's environmental problems

China's environmental problemsIt's been a tough year for China as in all the natural disasters they've experienced. The desertification, sandstorms, landslide floods can also be attributed to the Chinese Gov't's attitude of growth at any expense. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call to policymakers to be more aware of the environmental implications in the decisions they make. This can work to MPE's advantage in which they hold some of the resources and expertise to solve some of these problems.

The other thing in recent news is that the demand for food and fertilizer has been increasing rapidly in China. We haven't heard much in the way of updates from the fertilizer, fish meal, and alfalfa operations this year except that they've undergone some reorganization. Hopefully they've streamlined what the need to do for next year, and be well positioned to  fill the expected growth in this area for 2011.

We should be hearing an update soon from Raymond concerning the 60M loan provision. I believe it is an outside chance that they'll get the full sum, but anything is possible. My guess would be if the investment group pulled the trigger, it would be >10M advance. This in itself would be huge for MPE and would fast track a lot of it's operation goals.
