Drill results are rarely helpful in the short term
Drill results are rarely helpful in the short termwhen you are expecting them to be. It seems the only time that 'news' makes a stock go up is when you don't have expectations and they happen to be good, or even spectacular. I think that's what it will take in this case. Anything less will likely cause a selloff, even momentarily. It may have advanced too quickly on too much volume for anything not in the 'discovery' class.
Remember, the 'discovery' is Rainy River itself and as well situated as this is, that component is missing. 30grams per ton over three metres is good but it ain't 400grams which RR got, and $4Million is nice to have but it ain't $20Million, which RR has.
I am not yet a shareholder but am keen on the play and would like to see it pull back so I can load up. I missed the first run and regret not moving more quickly.
My main reason: $4Million in cheap PP shares coming free this week, plus the warrants. The market seems to have already discounted that problem, and it is reacting as though those shareholders have already shorted enough into the market to take care of the issue on the basis that there is real juice in the cores, and they know it for sure and they ain't sellin' any more-yet.
Having said all that, I think the people and the play are real, and expect this will be a winner. I only hope it comes back a bit so I can fill my boots.
If the 'news' is discovery' class, then I will have no choice but to chase it, and buy as much as I can stand. Anything under a dollar in a 'discovery' play is cheap.
Just have a look at ATC. $2 to $6 in about the last ten days.
