QUEBEC - Montreal's Osisko Mining and Vancouver-based Clifton Star Resourceshavebeen drilling their Beattie gold property and cuttinggoodintersections. The best from the latest drill holes include 27.0metresaveraging 3.38 g/t Au, 42.8 metres averaging 1.81 g/t Au and 27.5metresaveraging 1.83 g/t Au.
Osisko is earning a 50% interest inthe Duparquet property byspending $70 million by 2013 and extendingloans to Clifton Star. The2010 program includes 122,000 metres ofdrilling. Work is focused on theformer Beattie gold mine (1933-56), theformer Donchester gold mine(1946-56), and the former Duquesne gold mine(1946-52 and 1988-92).There are currently five drills on site.
