Break even:

Break even:Swp.b once shared with us that his break even was $8.90.... $9.00 is above that, soooooo!!! I was hoping he would cash in and we wouldn't have his bashing posts to read. Some how I just feel his B/E has changed this week. Yes, Viterra's profit is based on volume and we will see how that progress's as the fall play's out. That volume doesn't have to be #1 grade, it can be feed, the handling & cleaning they charge is the same. Farmers most years do manage to get the crop off in western Canada. Grain company's (including Viterra) do buy and sell commodities other then wheat. Peas as an example.. if they buy for $5, process them and find a customer for $10, they will make a return. All that land that went unseeded this spring will in all likely-hood be seeded next spring. In order to that, inputs will be purchased. When that decision is made, farmers always seem to find away of achieving their goal, it is the business they are in ....called farming. ......Una
