SONOMAX SELECTED AS TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION FINALIST
i-STAGE EVENT SPRINGBOARD TO CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW, LAS VEGAS, JANUARY 6-9, 2011
MONTREAL, Sept. 21/CNW Telbec/ - Sonomax Technologies Inc. (SHH:TSX Venture) has beenchosen as one of nine finalists in the prestigious i-stage (https://i-stage.ce.org)competition, a technology event featuring the most innovative newconsumer technology products that are about to come to market. Theselection was made by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)(R)which is the producer of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES)(R) (https://www.cesweb.org) held annually in Las Vegas,Nevada. Sonomax will unveil its new SOUNDCAGE(TM) earphones whichfeature the latest 'custom-fit by SONOMAX' V4 technology, before a liveaudience at CEA's 2010 Industry Forum, scheduled for October 18, 2010, atthe Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
The i-stage competition is "The Springboard to CES." Among the manyinnovations that have debuted at CES are Blu-ray Disc by PhilipsElectronics (PHG:NYSE), XBOX by Microsoft (NASDAQGS:MSFT) and theNintendo Entertainment System by Nintendo (Nintendo Co ADR:Frankfurt76651.F).
Sonomax, as well as the eight other contenders, will have twominutes "to illustrate why they're the most drool-worthy, marketable,and impactful products you've never come across" in a live presentationto be reviewed and judged by four technology experts in front ofregistered industry forum attendees. These will include approximately300 members of the consumer technology industry, the media andanalysts.
"We'll present SOUNDCAGE(TM) as Rock Star technology that can be used by everyone", said Nick Laperle,President and Chief Executive Officer of Sonomax Technologies. "WhyRock Star technology for everyone? Because previously, custom was onlyavailable to rock stars in an expensive 3-4 week process. SOUNDCAGE(TM)changes everything."
