Well they are indeed showing close to a million ounces like some analysts predicted.
I don't recall seeing the analysts predict that the grade would be radically lower than the previous resource though.
It is a struggle to make a profit open pit mining 2gpt stuff in Quebec. Metanor had an unusually high grade deposit for an open pittable one at 3-4 gpt. But now it is more like 1-2gpt. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg.
Now Osikso has a big deposit that is only about 1 gpt and expected to be profitable, but I believe that is a whole different minerology, porphyry rather than hard rock stuff. People with geology background please correct me if I am in error on that.
I'm glad I stayed out of Metanor in the recent past.
