Company-specific news events and one zealous analyst have driven the returns for CAN for the last few weeks.

First, it was the announcement re: the acquisition of Ethiopian gold assets.
Second, it was the announcement of the significant increase in the trend at Handeni to 15 km.
Immediately thereafter, Earle raised his target to $6. A flurry of buying ensued.
Finally, drill results were released.


To the person who suggested that negative GDP data will adversely affect CAN, I highly doubt it. CAN's rise to fame took place during some of the most grim economic news of the year. Poor GDP data will most affect those companies that rely heavily on the health of the US consumer.
