RE: Trading - The Answer Came from the CosmosFrequent readers, the cosmos has forced me to post today and reply to Haititrader.
Haititrader, I admire the confidence shown in your last post. It was a far cry from your Sept 22 post, Valuation, where you appeared to support the correction rally. In Valuation, you used my old example of DNDN as model for the potential value of Oncolytics share price. You closed that post with a short term price target of $13.50.
I read your Trader post as the “market” being able to stop the correction rally with impunity. One possible reason for this confidence is that you do not reside and work in Canada or the US. Your post was time dated at 2:35AM. It is a strange time to post but you frequently post in the early morning hours. Coming home in the wee hours from a party could explain why you do not correct the obvious grammar errors. I doubt that your associates enjoy this brick of comfort.
I agree to a degree with your second brick of confidence. It will be difficult to prove a case of manipulation in court and get a conviction. I am not interested in seeing the manipulators being prosecuting and held accountable in a court of law. I am interested in the manipulators honouring their professional responsibilities. They chose gamesmanship in the pricing what they pay to acquire shares in Oncolytics. The court of public opinion will return a guilty verdict and reputations can be damaged. The public expects and relies on the market price being “fair” and reflect the differing opinions of experts with full knowledge available to the market.
My feelings were hurt concerning your third brick of confidence. You felt that I did not have the network or ability to open the doors of influence to pass the baton. In the past, I was reluctant to pass the baton. I did not think that the financial industry needed to be tarnished due to the acts of few players. Brad’s pleading during his JMG presentation for a national Canadian regulatory helped change my mind. It was good to hear an Albertan businessman complain that the Canadian passport system is cumbersome and inefficient.
Brad’s pleading is in keeping with my horoscope. I am a Gemini and enjoy reading my horoscope as part of my morning routine. Here is Globe and Mails’ published horoscope for Gemini today: “Being the contrary person you are you will take a perverse delight in doing the opposite of what others are expecting of you. Whether you’re right or wrong is of less importance than reminding them that you always do things your own way.” LOL
Speaking of the G&M, Canada’s largest national business paper, do you think that they would like to interview JLGemini? Do you think that the interview would add to their editorial opinion for a national regulator? Do you think that the interview will point how the industry’s self regulation panders to major players to the detriment of small retail investors? Politicians and regulators love protecting the public.
