Art explained something in his earler posts regarding the "first line trial" being easier to achieve results than the refractory patients who were unable to respond to the current treatments. That being said, the 450 person test appears to be anything but a first line trial. The only logic I can come up with (again, only my opinion) is that the first line trials are not required as the refractory trial produced significant results rendering the first line unnecessary.
