Googled some things on Voisey Bay Discovery of 1994

Ranks as the 7th largest nickel deposit in the world but the only one where high grade nickel sulphide ores is known to sit
close to deep water access.
Major find was the Ovoid Zone  just below the surface (2.8% Ni  1.6% Cu  .12% Co)
Second site was Eastern Deeps (Blind Ore Body 250 - 800 m)
Third site  was Reid Brook (Blind Ore Body 1000m)


80% of exploration done in region was within 150Km of Voisey Bay.
