There have been a couple of mentions of the 240 volt model, which in my understanding, is awaiting CSA approval. That model will be in huge demand and I believe that is the reason that Conergy is not yet advertising the Sunergy. They are waiting for that model. It is required for grid tie in for residential applications as the voltage is 240. As it only entails a slight modification to the Sunergy, I believe a PS, it should be no problem. However, CSA is notorious, as are other regulatory bodies due to volume, for being beyond their expected waiting time.
Waiting isn't unusual for the longs here. A little while longer won't hurt. Hopefully. I am sure the expected ramp up October has to do with this issue.
Michael Carten made mention of it in his last MD&A.
There have been several other mentions of the 240 AC model as well in publications.
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 26, 2010) - Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:STG), ("Sustainable Energy") today announced that its SUNERGY LV (low voltage) and SUNERGY ELV (extra low voltage) inverters have been certified and listed by the Canadian Standards Association ("CSA") to UL 1741 and CSA C22.2 No.107.1-01 standards, making this innovative technology commercially available for sale and installation across North America.
The CSA/UL certified products target the North American commercial market with a 208 volt AC output, peak conversion efficiencies in excess of 96%, and a nominal 5,000 watt power output. Follow-on products will include different power ratings and a 240 volt AC output for residential applications.
