RE: PLEASE SAVE MICHAEL! - Need for Action Now!Haititrader, my advice to family, friends and even strangers is to hold onto their shares in Oncolytics until the future is more certain. Successfully completing the head and neck pivotal trial is as close to a certainty as one can get based on the trials and research to date. The uncertainty is: who will be their partners as they move Reolysin forward in its commercialization, and what is ultimate market capital valuation?
You are definitely not family or a friend to me, nor a stranger to the Discussion Board. I picture you as a large holder of shares in Oncolytics who wants to buy more stock at bargain basement prices. The problem that you face is that readers of the Board are completely aware of how ridiculously low the current market cap valuation of $300 million is for Oncolytics. Oncolytics’ share price is on a correction rally to above $7 where it will support a market cap above $500 million.
My advice to you is that your posts are falling on deaf eyes. You need to step up your game if you want to stall the correction rally or spike the stock to the good old days when ONCY and ONC were trading below $3.00. You need to act more and talk less. My advice to you is to sell a block of 50,000 shares at market. Putting small blocks of 5,000 shares on the ask side to create a price ceiling isn’t cutting it anymore. You need to test the strength of the correction rally. You need to know if there are institutional investors out there who want more of the action. Will they pounce on the opportunity to buy 50,000 shares? If they do, it could be a lucky happenstance. Keep selling blocks of 50,000 until you are convinced that the correction rally has the strength to continue its march above $7.00.
I am not cruel. I will not advice you to short the stock. If word got out that Michael Douglas was being treated under the pivotal trial, who knows where the stock price would go with that publicity? While speculative, the scenario of this happening is reasonable. New York City has been a research centre for the development of Reolysin and the location for a number of the trials.. Mr. Douglas is still a young man with many reasons to live, and has the money and influence to get the best care. I keep seeing Brad’s slides with the before and after pictures. Michael Douglas has a better option than all the options Steve McQueen chased many years ago.
