VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2010) - Trijet Mining Corp. ("Trijet" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:TJT) announces it has successfully completed Phase One of the summer drill program on the Letourneur Gold Project. The Letourneur project is located in the Abitibi region of southwestern Quebec, 41 km north of Rouyn-Noranda, in the regional municipality of Taschereau, Privat Township, NTS map sheet 32D10. The property consists of 27 mineral claims (polygons) for a total area of 1125.1 hectares or 11.25 km2. The property is underlain by Archean volcanic rocks of the Hunter Mine Group in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The stratigraphic column is dominated by massive to pillowed andesitic tholeiitic lavas, mafic tuffs and iron formations overlying a sequence of calco-alcaline andesitic to dacitic lavas and tuffs.
In total, the Company completed 15 drill holes for a total of 2190 meters. Gold mineralization was encountered in 10 out of 15 drill holes (The true thickness of the intersections is unknown at this early stage of exploration).
- Drill hole LE 2010-11 intersected at shallow depth 16 meters of 1.3 g/t Au from 17.2 m to 33.2 m, included 4.2 m of 4.7 g/t Au from17.2 m to 21.4m also included 18.5 g/t Au over .75 meter from 20.65 m to 21.4 m.
- Drill hole LE 2010-10 intersected high grade gold of 45.6 g/t over .70 meter from 41 m to 41.7 m

The drill program extended from June to September 2010 focused on the Letourneur showing (holes 2,3,4,5, 10 and 11) where past exploration was carried out, mainly by prospectors from 1994 to 2002. Gold mineralization occurs in two main geological-structural settings:
- in quartz-carbonate veins/veinlets and pyritized-carbonatized (ankerite) basaltic wallrocks and
- in fault zones within crushed, pyritized, silicified, hematized and carbonatized mafic or felsic rock.
Drilling uncovered several important fault zones presumably oriented WSW-ENE of the Letourneur showing. In several drill intersections the fault traces the contact between the mafic and felsic volcanic assemblages. Core samples were assayed at ALS Laboratory Group based in Val d'Or, Qc., using fire assay atomic adsorption with gravimetric finish for gold. Quality assurance and quality control procedures include the systematic insertion of blanks and standards into the drill core sample string. Core samples were sawed in half, one of which was placed in a sealed bag and shipped directly to the ALS preparatory laboratory in Val d' Or, Qc. Intercepts are reported as drilled. True widths have not yet been calculated.
The high grade gold intersected in holes #10 &11and the intersected gold mineralization in holes #12 & 14 at a spaced interval of 900 meters along the main fault zone indicated that the gold mineralization may be considerably more extensive than previous information suggested. Accordingly, Trijet Mining has acquired recently, by staking, an additional area of 1777 hectares, 17.77 square kilometers contiguous to the Letourneur drill target area increasing the total package to 2902 hectares (29.02 sq. km.)
The Company is planning up to 50-drill hole Phase Two campaign to test the area around holes 3, 10 & 11 (these holes are approximately 100 meters apart) where the best intersections were encountered and along the fault between holes 12 & 14, also to test by drilling the new mineralized zone that has been encountered in a 500-meter area from holes 3, 10 & 11 to hole 15 NW of the Letourneur showing.

Michel Boily, Ph D and a "qualified person" as that term is defined, has reviewed the technical aspects of this release. Furthermore, Dr. Boily will author a National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report on the Letourneur property.
