Harish Srinivasa, Dundee Securities(09/27/10) "Aurizon this morning reported infill drill results from its ongoing exploration program from the 123 Zone at its 100%-owned Casa Berardi Mine in Quebec. Results include intersections of 10.0 g/t over 35.1m and 9.1 g/t over 27.3m (all true widths). These results combined with earlier intersections (up to 42.1 g/t over 21.5m) indicate that the 123 Zone contains a high grade core measuring approximately 200m in strike length, 50m in depth and 25m in thickness. . .An updated resource is expected by year-end. We believe that the continued drilling program will likely add to the quality and size of the resource. We are maintaining our BUY recommendation with a 12-month target price of C$7.70/share. The current drilling program is targeting a series of previously outlined stacked mineralized lenses. . .The company plans to develop a ramp from the 810m level down to 1000m level, which will provide both the drill base to test the depth extension of the 123 Zone and 118 Zone as well as access for mine development of these zones." |
Zeal LLC, Zeal Speculation and Investment (09/20/10) "Not only does Aurizon have the geological benefits of Abitibi and the geopolitical benefits of Canada, it has huge provincial benefits in Quebec, [which] has stable government policies, a modern mining infrastructure, a highly skilled labor pool, and actually offers financial incentive for mineral exploration. This incentive is in the form of a 47% rebate of direct exploration capex! This rebate has been very good to AZK's bottom line, as it has put forth a lot of capital exploring Casa Berardi and its advanced-stage Joanna project. Aurizon's strong management team, led by CEO and founder David Hall, understands that there is a lot of gold still yet to be found within the Quebec portion of the Abitibi greenstone belt. The land holdings that house the low-cost and long-life Casa Berardi mine, stretching 37 km. along fault, remain greatly underexplored. There is still plenty of discovery potential at depth of the current operations and along trend. And Aurizon's Quebec footprint extends beyond Casa Berardi. Its excellent Joanna project already holds over 3 Moz. gold resources with big upside discovery potential here, as well. Joanna stretches across 6.0 km. of fault, with very impressive recent discoveries." |
