RE: RE: Same ol' same ol'Hey Vic.
When I said nothing has changed, I was referring to the banter between the pumpers and the critics. Although as far as the company is concerned it continues to underperform, so it is the same old.
You say the company is performing according to plan and sometimes ahead of schedule? Not according to yesterday's report.
Redstone Mine
Deteriorating ground conditions in certain stopes became evident during the third quarter, which decreased production from the mine. Going forward, only the stopes that can be easily and safely mined will be exploited.
McWatters Mine
The ore body in these panels was more blocky and discontinuous than expected. As a result, the grade was significantly lower than the 1.94% Ni over 92,041 tonnes estimated by SRK Consulting in the feasibility study dated December 2009. This has negatively impacted the expected revenue to be generated during 2010 to date from those panels.
By the way, it's interesting they don't actually say how much nickel they produced, but leave it up to the reader of the release to make calculations based on nickel grades and recoveries at the mill. Sheesh.
As far as me getting back into Liberty at 80 cents. Yes I did. I had been invested in the company, cashed out, and after the plunge from close to $4 to 80 cents, I hadn't totally lost faith yet, so figured it might be a decent re-entry and that it had bottomed out. That was, obviously, a mistake; so i cut my losses on the second shot and got out again.... maybe at 50 or 60 cents. Frankly, I don't remember now. Either way, it wasn't a big deal or a big buy on my part. Just dipped my toes in and found the water too cold.
I've stayed away since JJ got in.
I said a long time ago, Liberty needed to find new resources because what they have now doesn't add up to much and doesn't bode well for a long-term investment. Since the company can't make money in the short-term either, what's the point of buying shares? Let's face it. Liberty right now is just a tool of the Chinese to get some badly needed commodity in the country and they don't really care if it makes money or doesn't.
