RE: RE: Marines Eye Ground Vehicles, Budget In MinYou know lads....these reports about what is going to happen i think, in my opinion is just blowing smoke....The last staple of the American manufacturing sector that hasn't been too effected by the down turn is the 'war machine"..Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Oshkosh, and others are deeply funded and with mid-term elections on the horizon, there will be no lack of interest in not only keeping jobs but also creating more....The spin-doctors are alive and well..Even the military are spnning the media to get attention...Their economy is still hurting and the spending is going to continue..I would agree there will be cuts to redundant equipment, but there is no lack of funding for research and future development...The Generals can say what they want, but its Obama who needs his political stripes to stay intact and he has the final say.....just a thought..
cheers
