RE: Smart moveHey there kingyahoo:
Long time, no chat. Makin' any money yet? What's with the endless (and nonsensical) psychobabble you are providing to all the readers here free of charge (don't I feel lucky) as if you are some all knowing investing/trading guru? If you want something to chew on, try this on for size...
This news has been known for a while (obviously) and is already baked into the stock price. ie Market cap of CAN has dropped $125-150M. If you insist on being a conspiracy theorist, maybe they've been sitting on this news and already knew the outcome for some time? Maybe someone has very conveniently been buying up all the shares in the meantime? You never know, right? Maybe a settlement (if there is one) will involve the issuance of CAN shares (and not cash) to SOC? If so, this is a clever move as it instantly turns converts SOC from pain in the butt into one of CAN's biggest cheerleaders. Also, if they were to sell these shares, they'd be accountable to their own shareholders as a move like this would reflect negatively on their own operations. For them, it would better to just sit back and enjoy the ride while CAN does all the heavy lifting.
Oh BTW, say hello to the SOC, KOK and BFD folks for me.
Snap, crackle, pop,
