That is exacly why the holder is shorting. They can`t sell their shares to take profits so they short now and take the profits and cover the short when the shares from the private placement when they can. Or if the stock can be pushed down by scaring weak shareholders by virtue of the short position appearance and selling pressure then they can cover with shares they buy in the market...A great position to be in.

Lets face it with such huge intercepts being hit and the company telegraphing more to come who in their right mind would short unless they knew they could cover if this stock takes off.

This of course is all speculation on my part but the pattern has been played out many times before.
