RE: RE: RE: Jeffy has no clue????Imo, the delay was a result of the lender terms and conditions being revised/tweaked. This is a tedious process that involves feedback between WND, Manulife, and the lenders. I believe all the stuff leading up to last week was in preparation of finalizing all the details that would satisfy all the requirements of all stakeholders. This week, is what I imagine would be, the final review of the financing terms by the lenders. So yes, I do think that some form of resolution will be met soon, whether this week, I don't know. But Jeff does hint that a resolution may be lined up for end of this week.
The project, I think, is sound. We've got some heavy hitters on the WND project team (i.e. Gamesa and RMT). My only concern is if there are competing wind projects. If there are other wind projects that are competing for funding from Manulife, then, the opportunities and risks of those projects relative to Windstar have to be taken into consideration. That is what I feel would be a potential reason for a setback for WND should the Windstar financing NOT get approved.
Anyone know what other wind farms are going to Manulife for approval? I understand that 3 of the 6 North American Wind Farm projects have been approved throughout 2010 by Manulife, so 3 remain. I hope that Windstar is one of the remaining ones.
