PTA was up over 30% today because of the following article which makes a statement about the niche of the market that caters to underleveraged juniors. The thing is one has to be in position with these things to reap the full benefit of price increases such as this. It takes patience and often a period of time which with these small juniors may be 3-5 years. Hopefully though it will happen quicker here.

Globe says Petroamerica could double in two years

2010-10-28 07:06 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Oct. 28, edition that Sprott Asset Management manager Eric Nuttall recommends buying Petroamerica Oil. Clea Simos writes in The Globe's BNN Market Call column that Petroamerica Oil stock shed two cents to finish Wednesday on the TSX Venture Exchange at 40.5 cents. The stock has a 52-week range of 28 cents to 82 cents. Mr. Nuttall says, "They have interests in several highly prospective blocks in Colombia which could more than double the value of the company over a two-year time frame." In his general outlook Mr. Nuttall says: "Fundamentals appear to be improving for natural gas given lower drilling permits, abatement in held-by-production drilling and an uptick in industrial demand. While natural gas stocks are still discounting higher than the average natural gas contract prices for the calendar year, current opportunities are to be found in junior underleveraged oil companies while a buying opportunity in natural gas stocks emerges over the coming quarters." The Globe's Ted Dixon informed readers on Feb. 1 that despite a general negative market, Petroamerica insiders were buying stock. At the time Petroamerica stock was trading at 60 cents.
