RE: results

RE: resultsPacific Rubiales has more reserves and a longer RLI than Petrominerales.  PRE.to has also performed more consistently than PMG.to and has enjoyed the higher leverage to heavier grades of oil.  Pacific Rubiales promises a significant up-tick in recoverable oil rates from STAR, an in situ heating method that the market treats as a good bet as opposed to Peterminerales' perceived long-bet on THAI.

I agree that the dividend is not enough to attract retail investors and only enough to whet institutional interest.

Own both.  Would buy more Petrominerales on the right price/news.  Reckon that the share price might sell off on Q3 2010 news but do not want to be caught not holding the stock.  Translation:  gotta have PMG.to if you like Colombia but please do not underestimate the risk and especially short-term volatility.

The above is all in my unqualified, amateur opinion.  Wishing y'all careful and safe risk-management practices. -TR
