MagIndustries Corp is engaged in development and exploration of potash salt deposits. The company has two business units: MagMinerals and MagForestry. It is primarily engaged in the financing, developing and placing into production or operation of the projects such as potash plant, a potash exploration and eucalyptus plantation and chip mill. Geographically all the operations are functioned through the region of Canada.

That's because many analayst were way to optimistic back in 2008....and burned badly...not to mention the shareholders who believed them.....and now the pedulum has swung in the other direction ....and they are now playing their calls much more conservatively....hence the parade of companies across the board that have been beating or blowing away analysis consensus/street estimates over the past year or so.

So yeah ...they're typically electing to err on the cautious/conservative side and under estimate earnings and SP forecast ....than have their ass*s handed to them yet again. Can't blame them though...i'd do the same.
