RE: why??sumeroil, it could just be people moving some of their funds out of LFD in to VST because it has fallen so much. I think if VST rises on an announcement of an oil find in November, a lot of profits will then flow in to LFD and push it's price up. Conversely If VST fails, it could also pull LFD down a bit because some private investors will start worrying that all Kurdistan oilers are too high risk. (Of course that's one of the points with LFD; it is significantly de-risked - 750m oil column in the Chia Surkh field etc.) The other thing that might just be going on behind the scenes is an institutional placing. Everyone was surprised by VST's placing earlier in the month - so the same might be happening at LFD. I notice TSX stocks often to seem to fall a little before a placing is announced due to word getting around. Just thoughts, but not anything to worry about unless you need to sell.
