RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: the gold report on slam is upbtannin,
I wouldn't put much or any weight in any reports from eresearch, at least when it comes to the valuation of explorecos.
They state that increasing the resource to 15-20 million tonnes of 6-8% zinc would garner attention from outsiders. Let's stop and look at this. Right now we have a resource of 9 million tonnes, so they're suggesting that we double that resource at Sjack. Nash ranges up to 30m thick over a strike of 1.2 kms. Sjack typically is 2-6 m in width. So the zone is 1/5 the the width meaning it must be 5X as long (6kms) to equal the same tonnage. Now that's not accounting for depth but you can see the lack of rationale here.
Also, in order to get that 6-8% zinc overall, we'd have to drill off 9 million tonnes of 9-13% zinc in order that the overall deposit at SJ and Nash averages the grades that they state. 9-13% zinc at SJ in 9 million tonnes! Seriously.
One last point, when they did their original report on our gold properties, they valued them using grades of 5-6 g gold per tonne - they used these grades for Opikeigan, Reserve and Miminiska. I'm not really sure where they got these grades from. Interestingly though they used tonnages of I believe 1.4 million tonnes. Why 1.4 million tonnes? Well, the historic Pickle Crow gold mine (100 kms away) produced this. So they took this figure and applied this to our gold properties. ???
Like I said, their "research techniques" baffle to say the least.
Yes, the same individual spams this garbage all over SH. Maybe others can see the holes in it too, I don't know. But like youngun said, this isn't news, this is conjecture, possibly even educated conjecture of a pr company. Not much different than many of the opinions and analysis provided on this board - though not lately.
