RE: business division
RE: business divisionI think it's a little bit of both. As you know the specific results for the business side are never impressive, so it's a good thing that they keep a low profile on it. The important thing is for the business side to sustain itself and not draw on the profits of the retail side. I believe that is being achieved with the recent trimming down and focusing on more profitable core activity.
Glentel's business side has been schizophrenic for years, not understanding itself and what it's role within the company should be. It tried to reinvent itself numerous times, tried satellite with limited success, tried expanding by absorbing a number of other struggling dying companies with almost catastrophic results! But at last, after giving up on self diagnosis, it has finally hired professionals who are now redefining it's role within the company.
Time will tell but it seems they are finally on the right track.
