RE: What's ISM up to?tickle1st,
My comments were based on comments in the Information Circular, which indicate Richard Sutliffe represented the Dissident group, and was one of the slate of Directors proposed by that group. The news release you pasted indicates that not one of the Dissient slate was elected - the entire Borad elected was the slate proposed by management.
Excerpts from the July 20, 2009 Management Information Circular:

Carl McGill |
Steven Mintz |
Bruce Reid |
Donald Alexander Sheldon |
Frank C. Smeenk |
Page 6: Why is management recommending that I REJECT the Dissident Nominees
Answer:
iii) it appears that none of the Dissident Nominees owns a significant number of Carlisle shares. Only Richard Sutcliffe owns any shares in Carlisle and, to the best of the Corporation’s knowledge, he only owns approximately 30,000 Carlisle shares. | |
Page 7: Did management of Carlisle attempt to reach a settlement with the Dissendents Answer:
The dissidents whom Richard Sutcliffe initially represented are not identical to the Dissidents which delivered the Requisition on April 28, 2009. Indeed, one of the Carlisle Nominees, Bruce Reid, arrived with Richard Sutcliffe at a meeting with Carl McGill but he became disillusioned with Richard Sutcliffe’s plans, concluded that they would not be in the best interests of Carlisle and subsequently joined forces with management of Carlisle |
