Acrylamide or Proposition 65

Acrylamide or Proposition 65

The Perfect storm...............................

Acrylamide or Proposition 65................ has Corporations REALLY CONCERNED

One such Corporation is PepsiCo who is Gorilla in the market place with several divisions and brands.....

www.pepsico.com/Brands.html

·         Pepsi

·         Frito Lay

·         Tropicana

·         Quaker

·         Gatorade

In the PepsiCo Annual Report to Shareholders, they spell out that Acrylamide is a significant risk to their business.

The fact is that the potato industry, along with other industry leaders, such as PepsiCo.... are keen to address this issue.   These items don’t just make it into their filed MD&A statements unless they are significant in nature.  I think it GOES WITHOUT SAYING no one likes to disclose this type of information to their shareholders or the public for that matter.... especially the big consumer companies.

I found this of significant interest...... and why I feel Functional Technologies is onto something REALLY BIG WITH THIS PATENT PENDING SCIENCE....

PepsiCo Annual Report to Shareholders  MD&A – “Our Business Risks” Section

Highlights of PepsiCo article:

·        PepsiCo, in its Annual Report to shareholders, specifically singles out Acrylamide as an example of risk to its business.

·       “Changes in the legal and regulatory environment could limit our business activities, increase our operating costs, reduce demand for our products or result in litigation.”
