RE: Final nail in coffin for Net neutrality?

RE: Final nail in coffin for Net neutrality?I agree.  NN legislation, if any, will be industry favourable.  There will be gridlock in Washington for 2 years and any sort of legislation passed will be heavily watered down.  Moreover, in 2012, odds are great the Republicans will control both the house and senate, although anything can happen in 2 years (who would've thought in 2008 when Obama was elected they'd get creamed during mid-terms?).  However, I don't see anything but Republican control in 2012.
On the other hand, NN legislation as it currently is drafted and formulated favours 'reasonable network management', and therefore reasonable 'discrimination' or as I like to say, preference.  The election results will only remove more uncertainty for ISP's and vendors such as SVC.
Whether or not the results will prompt ISP's to publicly announce contracts with vendors such as SVC, I don't know but it's definitely leading to the inevitable day when any ISP can do so without risk of damage to their reputation.  Hopefully that day is sooner rather than later.
