RE: RE: RE: RE: With oil at...I'm not suggesting that you "shut up" Dick... I have my opinion and you have yours, and it is the difference of opinions that make the markets what they are...
As for the prospect for Westport's products, I'd caution anyone about getting their hopes up... I can't recount how many times we heard promising stories only to be let down once again... most times by more financings and additional dilution. (That Ports thing still sticks in my craw, but that was not by Westport's hand)
IMHO, we are 2-5 years away from widespread adoption of NG, and with the way this company spends 3 bucks for every one it takes in, we are 10 years away from profitability. Even if the American Government passes an NG Incentive Bill, it will be 18 months before the beginning of the benefits show up on the books, and in that time, many companies will far outpace Westport's returns.
The one real motivating factor in all of this is oil prices, and if oil hits $120.00 plus per barrel, we will see history sooner.
However, if you are willing to pay the current price for the stock, and hold it until the company and market hit maturity, I'm sure you'll be pleased... how long that will take is the $64,000.00 question... and that is why people pack up and leave a dead money stock.
