Commercial Plant.....The real PR DEAL..........................

"you write that they are doing a PR tour....There is ONE positive spin on that.....they would not do such a PR tour WITHOUT real sales done or at least a partner signed up."
=====

Hi europe10,

I have to agree with you....many here, including yourself have followed this story for many years.  This company has been developing and finding their niche since 2003... Looks like they have found it in a POSITIVE WAY.

Looking back over the last twelve months the company has released some significant news releases and a lot has transpired.  Therefore they have a lot they can talk about on there PR tour.

Healthy Regards, Tommer3

Some examples:

2010-10-28

Currently, several international food ingredient companies are in various stages of conducting tests to confirm the effectiveness of Functional Technologies' proprietary AR yeast in baked products. Based on results to date, the company considers the strategy to partner with at least one global producer to accelerate the commercialization of its AR yeast technology would be the most effective way to achieve the corporate objectives of its business model.

(PR - Several tests are well underway with Large Global Producers.  This is with yeast reducing technology in the Baked goods.  I am sure they have been tongue tided with (None Disclosure Agreements) but suggests they are close to having a partner to announce.  This is a hint that commercialization of the AR Yeast Technology is not too far off.)

2010-06-17

Functional Technologies Corp. has entered into a distribution agreement with Beverage Supply Group, a division of Brewer's Supply Group, which has agreed to market Functional's Phyterra-branded wine yeast in the United States market. This agreement enables the launch of four strains of Phyterra's kosher organic hydrogen sulphide-reducing (H2S-reducing) wine yeasts to the West Coast marketplace for the 2010 crush.  "BSG's sales efforts will build upon trade show initiatives and trials we developed over the last 18 months and represents the first commercial launch of our yeast technology."

(PR - They have the wine industry in California (Top 3) using their technology (Yeast) in the 2010 wine crush this year and its "first commercial launch"  Which may result in showing revenues for the first time being reported on the balance sheet)

2010-06-30

Functional Technologies Corp. has released initial test results for bread made with its acrylamide-preventing yeast. The results demonstrated reductions of acrylamide of approximately 90 per cent when compared with bread made with standard commercial baker's yeast.

(PR - Significant and a key company maker as it relates to growth potential...... this technology/patent pending yeast reduction of Acrylamide has tremendous upside potential)

2010-03-15

Functional Technologies Corp. has developed, tested and filed patent applications for yeast technology that reduces the formation of acrylamide, a carcinogen formed when starchy foods are baked, fried or toasted.

(PR - Patents are pending - which will be significant if approvals can be announced)

2009-11-27

Functional Technologies Corp., is installing a commercial-scale yeast production facility in Summerville, PEI, enabled by federal and provincial government funding. In addition, the company is entering into a long-term lease agreement with Active Communities Development Inc., a community business development corporation in eastern PEI. Financial benefits
