RE: U R Next !
RE: U R Next !Well - nothing been done in three decades is an incorrect and deceptive statement. But more importantly, the number of historic mines, old exploration projects and mothballed projects coming to life with the current gold price is staggering - and the stock prices of such companies have done very well. Comparing Plato's projects to Moneta's is a stretch - considering the fact Moneta's drill results recently have been some of the best holes drilled on the property and the fact they have a resource of over 1 million ounces. The company has been able to get the financing necessary to drill and the leadership has changed significantly in the last couple of years - thus, a resurgence with this company. Moneta actually has a strategy for sole exploration whereas the predecessor at the helm, I believe, favored the idea of JV, optioning, etc. So, actually, winterblues, your statement couldn't be more wrong.
Further it hasn't been until recent years that the Golden Highway property has been "unified." Starting with full ownership of Windjammer a few years ago, to the acquisition of the Acrex option. SW Zone was drilled extensively in the 90s - less than 15 years ago, and at a time when gold prices were in the toilet. Not much drilling has occurred since - whether due to other focuses or capital constraints. The full potential of the SW Zone is just starting to be realized.
So, attempt at acquisition by another perhaps - but giving the property away via a ho-hum option agreement - not going to happen.
