RE: Enough Kvetching To those that inboxed me about how to give your proxy to another person attending, please read what Sailor has posted .
I have copy and pasted a part of his previous email!
"As for gathering proxy votes. I'm all in favour of ensuring your proxy is voted either for Management or assigned to someone you trust implicitly. I will either participate in person or I will designate someone as my proxy. Regardless someone will have my votes.
Its also important to understand that if you are a retail shareholder how to properly assign your proxy. You will get a package in the mail, and you need to read it carefully. The shares of retail shareholders are held in beneficial trust for their owner, but the institution holds the actual certificates. If you don't assign the voting rights to management or to another named individual (including yourself), your shares (and therefore votes) don't count at an AGM because the institution that holds the shares will not vote for you. Its possible as for a retail shareholder to show up at the meeting and not be allowed to vote because they didn't fill in the proxy correctly and name themselves as the proxy holder. Remember It is the number of shares represented at the meeting that counts and management will certainly have its full 68MM registered to vote."
PS David may not have 64 million shares represented at the AGM,but could be the kingmaker with the accumulated shares ! A good thing where common sense may be needed !
