Azure Dynamics Corporation (Azure) is engaged in the development and sale of electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) systems and components. HEV systems include an electric motor, an energy storage system (batteries or ultracapacitors), and an additional power source, such as an internal combustion engine/generator. An EV does not include the additional power source and only includes an electric motor and an energy storage system. It has four wholly owned subsidiaries: Azure Dynamics Inc., Azure Dynamics Incorporated, Azure Dynamics Corporation of America and Azure Dynamics Limited. Hey over here Mr Icahn we can be boughtFederal-Mogul Corp (FDML.O), the maker of powertrain and safety technology controlled by billionaire investor Carl Icahn, is scouting for companies to acquire with a focus on electric vehicle technology.

The Southfield, Michigan-based auto supplier is interested in supplying electronic components related to vehicle powertrains, electric motors and parts of the infrastructure needed for electric-powered vehicles, Federal-Mogul's chief executive, Jose Maria Alapont, said during the Reuters Global Autos Summit.
