RE: New Distributor???

RE: New Distributor???I don't think you are out to lunch at all maak.

I don't think there is any doubt about it that Conergy is the distributor in question. We have raised the issue here before that Conergy doesn't carry Sustainable's Sunergy on their website despite the announcement in May........................................Sustainable Energy Technologies and Conergy have agreed to supply Sunergy inverters to the Ontario market, with an initial project of 75kW on a rooftop in Brampton, Ontario at the Metex Heat Treating facility. The new agreement between the two companies will produce 3MW of power this year in various projects.

The lack of Conergy listing SUNERGY on their website as a product even though they have the agreement was a concern to which I attempted to get an answer from Conergy in early summer when a poster stated that he had called Conergy and had been told that the Sunergy wasn't a big seller and the poster's brother who was in the solar business had never heard of the Sunergy. It was a very 'suspect' post to say the least but it did raise a valid point. Why wasn't it there?

Why wasn't Conergy listing the SUNERGY after the big release in May? The only answer I could get (in regards to an employee saying it wasn't a big seller) was that 'it wasn't the message that the company was trying to get out to the market'. Very closed mouth but it was obvious that no employee had stated that to anyone that Sunergy wasn't a big seller. In fact, I think it was quite obvious that they weren't selling it as a product at that time. I think the 'brother' who was in solar was the figment of someone's imagination and when asked for his Conergy source privately, did not respond. A 'brother' in solar would have to be pretty uninformed not to have heard of Sunergy.

I suspect that Conergy has not posted the Sunergy to this point as they are waiting for the 240 AC volt model waiting for CSA certification. It is possible that that certification has been obtained or will be by the time of Cansia and the two companies will announce the 'further to' agreement during Cansia. That is my guess. Pure Speculation however.

But with the blurb from the Conergy training session that you have posted, it substantiates the theory. Conergy, according to its' website has held training sessions in regards to the other inverter products it carries such as SMA, Frontius, Outback, Schneider (xantrex) and Enphase. No mention of Sunergy until now.

I don't think there is any doubt that Conergy is the distributor who is the one of Ontario's largest electrical distributors has selected the SUNERGYTM inverter as its core inverter product for both micro-FIT and FIT projects in the Province under 100kW and will begin stocking the product before year end. An initiating order for 125kW has been received by the Company with a base demand forecast of 2MW for calendar 2011.

"This is an important partnership for us," said Michael Carten Chief Executive Officer of Sustainable Energy. "Ranked as one of the largest electrical distributors in the Province, our partner brings access to more than 1,000 electrical contractors along with significant retail exposure and a rapidly expanding renewable energy installer base."

They already have an installation together at the Metex Heat treatment plant in Brampton with a 75 kw system.

Conergy could be a big step for the SUNERGY into the U.S. market as Conergy is wold wide. They also have western offices for the upcoming Alberta and B.C. green initiatives.

From the CONERGY website:
We are one of the world.s largest manufacturers, distributors and project developers of renewable energy solutions, with operations in more than 14 countries around the world and projects sited on every continent including Antarctica. The company has deployed more than 1.25 Gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy in the past decade, 1 GW of which came from photovoltaics and 500 megawatts of which were in large-scale development. I believe the biggest problem with the SP was the great press releases put out by Bucher which made the major newspapers in March for whatever motive. When the hoop la died down as a result of the 'realistic' Ontario market, the SP collapsed. Speculators jumped in thinking this market was going to take place over night and then jumped out just as quickly when it didn't. The establishment of 'green energy' and the setting up of partnerships, factories and financing doesn't take place over night. IMHO, 2011 is the determining factor as to whether this company is going to make it and from what I have seen accomplished in the past year, it will.

I am not too sure about the BOSCH part of it even though they have a training session for solar installers at Cansia. I also don't believe at this stage that it makes much difference as to the future of Sustainable. Modules are a dime a dozen with competition cutting profit margins for the module manufacturers. The 'brand' sounds great but iis it necessary? More important are the sales of SUNERGY and 'PARALLEX' (with extra earnings from modules and racking systems) with whatever the panel may be and the resulting benefits of the SUNERGY over other inverters. S.E.T. has the benefit of low voltage and operating in Canada's extreme winter conditions. Very important in the Microfit market especially, which is going to be huge in North America.

G.L.T.A.
