2010-11-17 08:48 ET - News Release

Mr. J. Frank Callaghan reports

BARKERVILLE RECEIVES DRILL PERMITS FOR EXPLORATION ON BARKERVILLE MOUNTAIN

BarkervilleGold Mines Ltd. has received drilling permits for 900 drill holestotalling 193,500 metres of drilling from the government of BritishColumbia for exploration on Barkerville Mountain located in centralBritish Columbia. The permit takes in all of Barkerville Mountain, anarea of approximately 2,700 hectares encompassing the company's BonanzaLedge proposed open pit mine (currently in the B.C. Mines Act reviewprocess) and the new discovery area originally announced in September(see news in Stockwatch Sept. 20, 2010, and Oct. 4, 2010).

Detailed drill plans for winter 2010/2011 drill programs at the newdiscovery zone as well as beneath and along strike of the Bonanza Ledgeproposed open pit will be announced as they are finalized.

J. Frank Callaghan, president and chief executive officer, states: "Withthe company's gold production now fully under way, we are pleased to beable to focus on accelerating gold resource expansion and exploration. In the past, most of our resources were spent on the delineation andpermitting of our two original gold deposits. This large explorationpermit allows us to now aggressively explore the Bonanza Ledge area todepths largely unexplored and along a two-kilometre strike corridor. Anexciting addition is the new discovery area 100 metres away from theproposed open pit having bedrock trenching samples returning up to 618grams per tonne gold and will be a significant part of this winter'sdrill program."

We seek Safe Harbor.
