I'm no mine engineer but looking at the map it would seem that Cote lake has a natural choke channel and it is only about 200 M across and not that deep.

I can easily imagine an open pit possibility from the old workings across the lake bed and into the new discovery area. I believe this would put us on par with Osisko's Malartic surface footprint. Although depth would have to be proved out.
