GOLD EXPLORATION: Thunder Creek drilling yields 4.9 g/t over 99 metres

ONTARO - Lake Shore Gold of Toronto is enjoying considerable success at its Thunder Creek deposit adjacent to its Timmins gold mine 18 km west of the town of the same name. Recent underground exploration drilling on the 730 level intersected a syenite porphyry stock that averaged 4.91 g/t over 99.60 metres. The same core section also returned 6.92 g/t over 61.40 metres including 13.90 g/t over 18.56 metres.

Surface drilling has expanded both the Porphyry and Rusk zones, returning intercepts such as 13.30 g/t Au over 13.20 metres, 6.54 g/t over 23.70 metres, 4.00 g/t over 27.30 metres and 4.24 g/t over 22.30 metres. Further surface drilling has expanded the Thunder Creek deformation and alteration zone by 350 metres to the southwest.
