RE: RE: whats next
You didn't do much research if you didn't even read the 2009 annual report:
https://www.catchthewindinc.com/files/Results_Q1-Q4_09.pdf
This goes into great detail about the Falcon 50 aircraft they purchased and why. A person could debate if this was a good purchase or not. In retrospect it might have been cheaper to just lease a plane each time they needed to get equipment and people to a remote location. But they bought this jet used, and it will likely retain most of its value. They now plan to lease it out, or sell it. They funded the purchase of the jet with debt at a decent interest rate. This means they didn't use up precious cash to buy it. In effect it is almost the same as leasing a jet. A small company like this probably shouldn't have spent so much money on a plane though.
The share price going down has been a blessing. Wouldn't you rather buy shares at a discount? I started buying at $2 and kept buying all the way to
.30. Nothing has materially changed the story of this company. They already had one large sale with 47 minimum units and this could lead to 200 units/year in 2012 (listen to latest earnings call). The BP and EnXco trials will likely lead to large follow on orders in Q2 2011. If this goes well then the 50-60 companies they are talking to will likely buy units based on all the good data. The only major hurdle left is to see if they can get the price they want, and if they can ramp up production quickly. They'll probably be able to finance buying parts with debt if they have lots of contractual orders.
