Drilling's up in Alberta

Drilling's up in AlbertaDespite the low NG price, drilling activity is way up compared to the last 2 years in Alberta.  This is because companies are finding liquids rich gas, vs dry gas.  Liquids are removed and sold as a barrel of oil.  So even at this low rate, they can be profitable.  Most dry gas is sent up the incinerator stack in an effort to either sweeten it or frac out the specific carbon chains.  Still, there's lots of wells getting shut in due to having low liquids content and therefore the companies aren't profitable.  Just heard ConocoPhillips is going to do another round of layoffs.  This little beauty is just like high school sex - get in, get out and get off to the next one!
