Historical Facts on Chia from WPC-1951

Historical Facts on Chia from WPC-1951
I found this publication from the World Petroleum Congress dated 1951 very informative on the potential of the Chia surkh oilfield.

Page 98 of this historical publication described the Chia discovery to be discovered at shallow depth of 5475 ft, with a shut-in-well head pressure of 3702 psi and that this very high reservoir pressure resulted in the leakages of the oil to the shallower upper fars formation.

It also seems to highlight that the lower fars formation has a good seal to be able to seal this type of very high reservoir pressure.

I think we have an OIL OCEAN WELL in Chiah and is looking forward to the drilling program next year with great optimism.
